About me

four names, one person.

(Danh) Somehow, although I was born when the sun was already high, bright and full of life, my grandfather named me first “Nguyệt: the moon”, then “Huyền: black, the night”. I'm so grateful for the care he put into this name. I have never met anyone else who shares it, and I love the meaning he left in it for me.

(Tự) For years I kept searching for a name other than the one people called me, and changed it again and again. Then Mom told me where my name came from and what it meant. I looked for a phrase with the same meaning, committed to it completely, and never needed to change again. I still love this name.

(Hiệu) I go to work, and sometimes I need an English name. That's why this one is written in grey: who knows when it will change.
